Barny Jones started out in the industry over 30 years ago, and his passion for all things Jaguar & Land Rover remains strong to this day. Barny Jones Limited was born out of his passion and enthusiasm for these iconic motor brands.
- 1993
Barny Jones worked for Swain & Jones Jaguar Dealership in Farnham, Surrey and became their top performing Master Technician, Team Leader and trainer to the apprentices.
- 2013
After 23 years, Barny left the dealership to start up his own company, Barny Jones Limited. He discovered that customers naturally followed him. Their intention was clear, “continue to look after our cars”. It became apparent to Barny that he was going to need a bigger workshop.
- 2016
Barny Jones Limited became a true family business, as members of the Jones family joined Barny in running the workshop day to day.
- 2017
Barny Jones Limited quadrupled the size of the business and relocated to Crondall, Farnham. We value our staff and have recruited the best. We have an experienced team of Jaguar and Land Rover trained technicians, a Service Adviser and a Service Manager.
- 2018
Barny Jones Limited became authorised by the DVSA as an MoT testing station.
- 2020
The whole team completed Jaguar Land Rover’s electric and hybrid vehicle training, ready for the next generation of Jaguar and Land Rover models coming through the door.
- 2023
Two highly qualified Service Advisers joined the front desk, strengthening the team looking after customers from the moment they arrive.
- 2026
The next generation of the Jones family joined the business, and Barny Jones Limited gained SERMI approval, giving authorised access to the security-related repair information needed for key and module programming, without a trip to the main dealer.
